With a two paragraph concept on paper, Nautilus engaged Tierra to conduct research and explore a wide range of possible approaches to launch a new magazine for the digital/mobile age.

Tierra’s team spent three months researching competition, exploring the latest in tablet apps and responsive techniques, and finally recommending a strategy for rolling out the new property.  After collaborating with the newly formed Nautilus staff, Tierra brought on board the Point Five Design team to create a new print and digital identity.

In the following months of the project, Tierra and Point 5 worked closely with the Nautilus team to design and build an initial beta website concept that explored content organization and user interface techniques.
