ABOUT THE PROJECT

Under a tight deadline, The New Yorker turned to Tierra to design and build The New Yorker Festival app for iPhone, iPod touch, and Android devices.

Working closely with the team at The New Yorker, Tierra created user-friendly application logic to support Festival content and meet design and marketing requirements.

The app features:

• The complete New Yorker Festival program (and program updates)
• Festival news, blog posts, and ticket updates via The New Yorker Festival’s Twitter stream, @newyorkerfest
• Cultural recommendations and neighborhood guides from the editors of Goings On About Town
• Mapping functionality
• Sharing capabilities for e-mail, Facebook, Foursquare, and Twitter
• Favoriting capabilities, so users can create lists of Festival events and nearby attractions they want to visit
